MyDealerLot was proud to be part of this exciting event. Considering the large and diverse companies in the running, we are proud to have walked away with the 2009 finalist prize for ‘innovation in information technology’.

At the end, we lost against a small startup called Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/auto/ma.mspx) for their Microsoft Auto innovation. But one thing is for sure. You can count on us to be back next year to compete once again. This competition was about innovation – which in this down economy is more important than ever for finding efficiencies and cost reductions.

Being a finalist amongst such fine companies tells us we are on the right path and that RFID has a big role to play in the world of automotive. We look forward to a continued leadership position in this field!

Finally, MyDealerLot would like to single out Randy Powell, General Manager of RBM of Atlanta-North for coming to the event and providing us with his unwavering support. Randy is a true gentlemen and visionary.  I am proud to have him as my client, advisor, and most of all as a close friend.

He clearly understands the value innovative technologies brings to the world of automotive, is willing to takes risks, and is always one step ahead of the rest. We would never have arrived this far without his belief and support. In my mind, people like Randy are the true winners when it comes to innovation!
